Courtyard ceremony aisle at The Abbott House
Weddings

Married in a house that has
kept love stories since 1895.

Ceremony in the courtyard under the oaks. Dinner beneath the chandeliers of the banquet hall. Portraits on the staircase, the turret and the wraparound porches. Everything within a hundred steps, so your day never turns into a caravan of cars.

We believe a wedding is a covenant, not a contract, and we pray over every couple who says yes in this courtyard, including yours.

What comes with the house

The reason our couples
stop shopping.

At most venues these are line items you find out about in month seven. Here they are simply part of getting married at The Abbott House.

01

Setup and breakdown

Every chair, table and candle placed before you arrive and cleared after you leave. Nobody in your family folds a chair at midnight.

02

In-house catering

Our own catering team and a tasting before you commit, so your food and your timeline stay in the same hands.

03

Decor & silk florals

Our collection lives here, so you are not sourcing a single centerpiece or renting an arch from three counties away.

04

Suites on site

A bridal suite and a groom’s lounge inside the mansion, so getting ready happens where the wedding happens.

05

Bar and bartender

Three-hour bar service, or a cash bar with our bartender and no minimum. Whatever fits your family.

06

Your Bridal Concierge

A private planning portal the day you book, with inspiration in one place, your details saved as you go. Visit it here.

Good questions

Everything brides
ask us first.

Still wondering something? Text Madison at 210-570-3086. We would love to hear from you.

How many guests fit?

Ten to one hundred seventy five. The courtyard seats about 150 for a ceremony and the banquet hall seats 100+ for dinner and dancing.

Is my date still open?

Just ask and we will let you know the same day. A deposit is what holds your date, so it stays fair for every couple.

Do we have to use your catering?

We cater in house, with a tasting before you commit. If you would rather bring in outside catering for a wedding or quinceañera there is a $500 outside catering fee; for showers, corporate events and other celebrations there is no catering fee at all.

What about alcohol?

Three-hour bar service, or a cash bar with our bartender and no minimum. You may also bring your own for a small fee, and our bartender serves it either way.

Do we need a wedding planner?

No. Day-of coordination can be added to any collection and is already inside the Royal Wedding and the Dream Wedding. Setup and breakdown are included regardless.

Is there parking, and is the house accessible?

On-site parking at 907 N Austin Street, with the courtyard and banquet hall on ground level. Tell us what your family needs and we will plan around it.

Weekday or weekend?

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are weekend rates. Monday through Thursday saves you $500 to $2,000 depending on the collection, and the house looks exactly the same.
